Special Recipe to Relieve Constipation

1 cup apple sauce
1 cup oat bran
ΒΌ cup prune juice
Spices as desired (cinnamon, nutmeg, etc)

Begin with one teaspoon each evening, followed by one 6 to 8 ounce glass of water. After 3 to 4 days, increase this to 2 teaspoons. Continue to increase by one teaspoon every few days until you have soft formed stools. Once you find a dose that is effective, continue to use it. Make this part of your daily routine.

Increasing the dose slowly allows you to avoid abdominal bloating or gassy feeling. It also helps you to find a dose that is effective for you.

This recipe may be stored in your refrigerator or in the freezer. Pre-measured servings may be frozen in ice cube trays, or foam plastic egg cartons, and thawed as needed.
